Contextual Coaching

Why Coaching?

Upon completion of my Australian teaching degree, I sought accreditation in Washington State and then, California. In San Francisco, I was fortunate to be part of a government-funded program that not only introduced coaching but also played a pivotal role in my accreditation and professional growth. I've undergone the accreditation process multiple times, spanning various locations and sectors. Moreover, I've had the privilege of supervising, coaching, and designing professional learning courses and workshops for educators at all levels. In these roles, my focus has been twofold: nurturing the growth of others while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements. My experience as a K–12 pedagogical coach in Australia has allowed me to collaborate with educational leaders and teachers with diverse objectives, ranging from enhancing pedagogy to advancing careers and fostering team collaboration. As a certified coach recognised by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, I've had the privilege of coaching teachers and school leaders and have facilitated several coach training programs. My unwavering passion for effective coaching is most evident in my doctoral thesis, "Coaching Early Career Teachers: Exploring the Implementation of Coaching in Schools for Professional Growth." This journey has not only been a professional pursuit but also a personal passion, and I am dedicated to continuing my work in the field of coaching.

Contextual coaching is a tailored approach that considers your unique circumstances, whether you're an individual or an organisation. We understand that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't consider each specific context, so I focus on:

🔍  Personalisation: We work closely with you to understand your specific needs, challenges, and goals, whether they pertain to meso or micro levels of educational coaching. We create strategic coaching plans that align perfectly with the aims of the school or personal aspirations.

🏢  Environment Consideration: Your work and life environment are essential components; therefore, my goal is to comprehend how it impacts your actions and decisions.

🌟  Holistic Approach: It's not just about professional objectives or goals; I address wellbeing and motivation that influence your professional growth.

🛠️  Adaptable Methods: I adjust strategies, techniques, and tools based on your unique context and needs, ensuring that guidance is always relevant and supportive.

🌱  Long-term Impact: Contextual coaching focuses on making lasting changes by harnessing your strengths and helping you develop skills that not only address the challenges but also build on your existing strengths, making them valuable in various situations.

Qualified Coach

The contextual coaching approach is versatile, and with my coaching qualifications, I can apply my knowledge and skills to various domains, including instructional coaching, career coaching, and leadership coaching. I have a particular interest in supporting early career teachers.
